Orange Apple Productions was started to be a film making company that provides good stories that make you think. We do our best to incorporate multi-layered characters that have redeeming qualities. We hope to show how good people can make a difference to those around them, even in bad situations.
In the early years OAP jumped into the timed filmmaking competitions. They won awards locally for Best Picture, Writing, Producing, Acting, Directing, Special Effects, Editing, Music, Costumes, and Trailer. Nationally they have won Best Acting, Production Design, and Special Effects. They have also finished in the top 30 in all of the 3 National competitions they entered, top 15 in 2 of the 3.
Creative head, Chars Bonin, has been acting professionally since 1992 with a featured extra role in “D2 - Mighty Ducks II”. Bonin has a B.A. in Television and Film Directing from Minnesota State University – Moorhead, and a Producer’s Diploma from the Hollywood Film Institute. He has worked in Los Angeles as well as Minneapolis over his career.
